Quantitative IR Thermography for continuous flow microwave heating
The work here presented proposes an enhanced procedure to describe bulk temperature profiles in pipe flow subjected to microwaves, by means of on-line infrared temperature readouts. Such procedure is intended to overcome the well-known difficulties connected with temperature readings while microwave heating takes place. In facts, temperatures are usually measured onto few points by means of fib...
متن کاملAutomatic Algorithm for Quantitative Pulsed Phase Thermography Calculations
Pulsed Phase Thermography (PPT) has been successfully applied for defect detection purposes on a variety of materials. A great deal of work has been done to evaluate the potential of PPT for quantitative applications, using for instance statistical methods, Neural Networks or wavelets (Ibarra-Castanedo et al., 2004). However, calibration requirements and lengthy computation subroutines, preclud...
متن کاملThermography in diagnosis of deep venous thrombosis.
The possibility that subclinical increased heat of the limb may be an early and reliable sign in the diagnosis of deep venous thrombosis is being investigated using thermography. Of the 35 cases studied 17 have had early deep venous thrombosis confirmed on phlebography. Of these, 16 cases have been previously diagnosed using thermography.
متن کامل3D Thermography Imaging Standardization Technique for Inflammation Diagnosis
We develop a 3D thermography imaging standardization technique to allow quantitative data analysis. Medical Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging is very sensitive and reliable mean of graphically mapping and display skin surface temperature. It allows doctors to visualise in colour and quantify temperature changes in skin surface. The spectrum of colours indicates both hot and cold responses which ...
متن کاملDefect detection in ceramic materials by quantitative infrared thermography
In this paper infrared (IR) measurements and dedicated signal processing algorithms were developed and applied for defect detection on green ceramic tiles. Tiles with defects having known dimension and position were realized and tested by acquiring either heating and cooling transients of the tile subjected to thermal pulse excitation. As rarely defects appear directly in the thermal map, post-...
